Following the order of the Ondo state government ,suspending the activities of the NURTW and RTEAN on Monday, motor parks were on Tuesday morning deserted by members of the unions.
Our correspondent who visited popular Ondo motor park earlier this morning reports that the usual hustling and noise of members of the union looking for passengers could no longer be seen as the park's premises was empty unlike the normal time when the place will be filled with vehicles traveling to different destinations.
Ondo Motor Park In AkureNURTW officers that are always in uniform were also not seen at the parks ,a development that followed Akeredolu's directive.
It was however observed that few vehicles were outside the park ,looking for passengers traveling to Lagos.
Ondo state government had suspended the operations of the national Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and the Road Transport Employees Association Of Nigeria (RTEAN) with immediate effect.

Senior Special Assistant to the governor on special duties Dr. Doyin Odebowale said no one is empowered to collect revenue from motorists on behalf of the state government henceforth.
He posited that the unions have not been remitting money to government coffers and that government would not allow lawlessness from the unions.
