The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 24-year-old Gbemisola Olufusi of No. 17 Abayomi Upper Ayeyemi, Ondo and a Pastor Festus Adebayo, 65, in Ondo town for conspiring and collected the menstrual pad of a 20-year-old Miss Oluwasemilore Iluyomade for ritual purpose.
The Hope Metro gathered that the Pastor, Olufusi, Iluyomade's boyfriend, had collected her menstrual pad and given it to Pastor Adebayo in December 2019. Two months after, some substances started coming out from the private part of the victim.
This aroused the suspicion of the girl's family and some people around that the girl might have been used for ritual.
Upon their suspicion, the father of the girl filed a complaint at the police station, Enuowa Division in Ondo town.
The Hope Metro, who spoke with the father of the victim, Apostle Festus Iluyomade, said he has taken her to the hospital severally, as she have had two major operations.
"When we noticed substance were coming out of my daughter's body, we reported the case to the police after series of prayers. We have done different operations and we are still carrying out test.
It was gathered that the police started monitoring the pastor and the yahoo-boy who had not been in town for several months.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, who disclosed this in an interview with The Hope Metro said the suspects have being apprehended.
"The Father of the victim reported the case in Ondo that he suspected his daughter was used for ritual by these men.
According to the Police Spokesman, the case has been transferred to homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation.
