The Ondo State House of Assembly has elected Hon. Bimbo Fajolu as its new Deputy Speaker.
This follows the impeachment of the former deputy speaker, Iroju Ogundeji at plenary today.
Ogundeji was impeached by his colleagues for being at loggerheads with the speaker.

Fajolu's nomination for deputy speaker was moved by Hon. Isreal Olajide, and was seconded by erstwhile Speaker, Hon. Jumoke Akindele.
The new deputy speaker was immediately sworn in by Speaker, Bamidele Oleyeloogun.
He represents Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo constituency in the House of Assembly.
