The Ondo State House of Assembly has impeached its Deputy Speaker, Hon. Iroju Ogundeji.
Hon. Ogundeji was impeached at plenary today.
The motion for his impeachment was moved by Hon. Fatai Olotu who told the house that 18 members had passed a vote of no confidence on the deputy speaker.

According to him, this was as a result of his being at loggerheads with the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun.
The deputy speaker was subsequently impeached.
Hon. Iroju, however, stormed out of the assembly complex thereafter, refusing to speak with journalists.
