The Labour Party in Ondo state has called on its members to be wary of the impression being given to the general public that a registration exercise currently going on in the state by a particular political party is being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to enhance their electoral status.
In a statement by its Acting Chairman, Chief Dele Akinyele, the Labour Party said INEC does not have a hand in the registration exercise, saying the political party responsible for the registration is only taking advantage of the availability of INEC designated registration centres across the state to register its members.
The Labour Party thus advised its members not to be deceived into believing that the exercise is organised by INEC and should ignore any attempt to hoodwink them into participating in such exercise
The statement further stated that members of the party would be duly informed should the need arise for them to participate in any registration related exercise in the nearest future.
