The leadership of the Correspondents' Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ondo State Council, has felicitated with Mr. Olabode Richard Olatunde on his auspicious appointment as the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN).

Mr. Olabode was a member and Secretary of the Ondo State Correspondents' Chapel before his appointment as the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media; and worked meritoriously as a scribe of the chapel.

According to a statement issued by the Secretary of the chapel, Tosin Ajuwon, the union expressed happiness with the Governor's decision to appoint him.

The statement reads, "We are happy that Governor Akeredolu deemed it right to utilize the wealth of experience and expertise resident in the state tio harness the media thrust of his administration for excellence.

*The Correspondents' chapel uses same opportunity to remind the new CPS of his core values to duty, his mother association and to express our solidarity for him in the course of performing his duty.

"We also felicitate with his co-appointee, Mr Olugbenga Ale, a dedicated administrator, who was reappointed as Chief of Staff to the Governor.

"Lastly, we appreciate the governor for looking inwards and appointing one of us to such a wonderful position in his administration; and we use this opportunity to assure him of our unalloyed support as he continues to bring good governance to the doorsteps of the citizenry and humanity at large"
