Olubunmi Tunji Ojo (@BTOofficial) boosts healthcare in Akoko with 12 Ambulances, multimillion naira hospital equipment

The federal lawmaker representingAkoko North East and West in the National Assembly, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo hss donated  two modern Ambulances, 8 tricyle ambulances, 4 motorcycles and multi million naira hospital equipment to serve  his people .


The items are  in addition to two 18 seater buses donated to the each of the traditional rulers' council in the area.


The distribution ceremony took place  at Tunji-Ojo's Okeagbe country home.
The event attracted leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state, including the Acting Chairman, Ade Adetimehin.


Addressing the large gathering of constituents, the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) said  the equipment were to help residents in the area have better and easier access to quality healthcare, especially during the COVID 19 pandemic.


 He said it was also a reflection of the commitment of the ruling APC to improve the wellbeing of the people, particularly their health.
Olubunmi Tunji Ojo promised to commission more roads when he marks his second year in office in addition to more people oriented projects.


"Health is wealth. Our party believes in the well being of the people. This is evident in the massive road construction across the federal constituency and what we are distributing today.


"We are on the way to the promised land and we are not going back. In June, by the grace of God, we will commission more roads. Akoko will keep progressing." He assured

He expressed appreciation to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his support and assured that Akoko solidly remains behind him.


The Acting state APC chairman Ade Adetimehin while performing the ceremonial cutting of tape to flag off the distribution of the medical equipment appreciated Bunmi Tunji-Ojo for making the people's need a priority.


He said the party is proud of the Federal Lawmaker for being a shining and worthy representative.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Zaki of Arigidi, Oba Yisa Olanipekun and Olukare of Ikare, Oba Akadiri Momoh appreciated the lawmaker for the buses saying it will go a long way in helping them move around for official duties.

The Directors of the Primary Healthcare in the two council areas, Dr Bola Arounmolase and Dr Sunday Aliyu said the initiative will help address the deficit in the health centers in the area.
