A truck loaded with Hairdressing materials such as weave-on has gone up in flame on Ondo Road area of Akure, Ondo State.
Eyewitness account has it that the fire started from the exhaust part of the trailer and all attempts by passersby to draw the attention of the driver to the development failed.
The fire almost engulfed the whole vehicle before the driver had an idea of the danger and quickly alighted, leaving the truck to continue to burn.
The fire also gutted a passenger bus which tried to manouver through the raging fire.
As at the time of filing this report, no effort had been made to put out the fire as the trailer and the goods therein continue to burn.
The situation has caused a gridlock along the popular Ondo Road, Adebowale Axis as motorists had to park their vehicles far from the burning truck while commuters managed to manouver safe areas to avoid getting stuck in the fire.
