Authorities in the Ondo State capital, Akure has been charged on the need to address the increase in refuse dumps along major street corners, road medians and drainage channels within the state capital.
A visit by our correspondent to the Oja Oba market as well as Ondo road showed less to be desired as the roads was littered with indiscriminate waste dump; an act which represents a major threat to the health of the citizens.
Speaking with some residents who were at the popular Oja Oba market to shop, they expressed worry over the health hazards poised by the refuse dump to the people saying relevant authorities should take steps to address the issue which has adverse effects both to humans and the environment.
This situation some says is an eye sore to a state capital thus calling for quick intervention of the government.
