The internal wrangling facing the Ondo State House of Assembly continued today as it suspended yet another member and deputy minority leader, Hon Tomide Akinribido representing Ondo West 1 Constituency.

Mimiko is also the National leader of the ZLP, the party that may field the state deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi as its governorship candidate for the October 10 election in the state.

The House suspended Akinribido based on messages he sent to the lawmakers official social media platform after the crisis emanating from the issue of impeachment notice served on the embattled deputy governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi.

The lawmaker had earlier suspended its Deputy Speaker, Ogundeji Iroju and two others from Ilaje and Ondo west constituencies.

The suspended lawmaker, Mr Akinribido was said to have apologized for the alleged unwholesome messages which the lawmakers rejected.

At the plenary today in Akure, the Speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun noted that the suspended lawmaker would be made to face an ad hoc committee that would look into the matter.

Meanwhile the house also committed the Committee to investigate another lawmaker, Mr Torhukerhijo Success on the interview he granted on a National newspaper.

When contacted by SUNSHINETRUTH, the suspended lawmaker, Hon Akinribido, said "they suspended me because I didn't support the politically-motivated impeachment of the deputy governor.

"Now they are threatened by news that he wants to contest the election on the platform of my party." he said.
