Ondo 2020: APC Stalwart, Ijagbemi Opens Campaign Office for Akeredolu

…Gives out hundreds of campaign materials

It was funfair and an atmosphere of joy as APC leaders and supporters of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state trouped in their large numbers at Ogbagi town in Akoko North West local government of Ondo state to commission a campaign office for the re-election of Governor Oluwarotmi Akeredolu.

The campaign office which was put in place and furnished by hon. Mufutau Oladele Ijagbemi popularly known as 'Apase' was commissioned by hon. Elefola Olamide Solomon who is the vice-chairman of APC for Ondo North.

The event attracted dignitaries from APC Akoko North West and beyond.

Speaking at the event, hon. Elefola thanked hon. Ijagbemi for his dedication to APC and using his resources to support Governor Akeredolu and the APC.

He said:

"if we have three or four people like hon. Mufutau Ijagbemi in every local government, with what you have done today, APC woud have gone beyond this level. You have come to sow a seed without demanding for anything, thank you."

He described the action of hon. Ijagbemi as not only laudable, but unimaginable because he singlehandedly donated the campaign office without making any demand and without contesting for any post.

While addressing the crowd that gathered to witness the commissioning hon. Ijagbemi expressed his love for Governor Akeredolu because he has performed excellently in office and in turning around the lives of Ondo state people.

He believed that if the governor is rewarded with second term in office, he will be glad and do more for his people.

Hon. Ijagbemi further added that as a strong supporter of Governor Akeredolu, he is not afraid of direct or indirect primary as he has what it takes to mobilize people to ensure Governor Akeredolu wins second term in office making use of his resources. "As a lover and supporter of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu I am not afraid of direct or indirect primary. My people love Governor Akeredolu and have seen what he has done , so they will massively vote for him. I and my people will ensure Governor Akeredolu wins."

In addition to the campaign office, hon Ijagbemi also donated materials to party faithfuls for the re-election of Governor Akeredolu.

Speaking at the event, the caretaker chairman of Akoko North West local government, hon. Kolade Dare described the action of hon. Ijagbemi as commendable and that it has brought joy to the hearts of APC leaders and supporters in Akoko North West local government.

Arch. Ajayi Morakinyo, a former caretaker chairman of Akoko North West local government who was also at the event was elated and full of joy at the donation of the campaign office and campaign materials. He urged the APC members to work hard to ensure that Governor Akeredolu is given another term in office.

He assured Governor Akeredolu that Akoko North West is solidly behind him. He also emphasized that the supporters of Governor Akeredolu are ready for either direct or indirect primary.

Arch. Morakinyo urged supporters of Governor Akeredolu to be friends with others in APC and not view them as enemies. He said "if it is true that you love Governor Akeredolu, then you should not view others as enemies. Bring them in, and work together to ensure Governor Akeredolu wins. Let us work together so that things will be good for us.

Akeredolu loves us, that is why he is constructing roads, renovating our schools and building new ones."
Other stakeholders present at the event include senatorial women leader hon. Alimi Janet, pioneer senatorial chairman Alh. Oloruntoba, members and representatives of Aketi Akoko Strikers, 4+4 group for Aketi, APC youth leaders among others.
