Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo state has been urged by members of the Ondo State House of Assembly to pay attention to the deteriorating condition of the hallowed chambers.
According to the lawmakers, they now make use of "papers to fan" themselves as a result of enormous heat being experience during plenary.
They emphasized that they are financially handicapped as they could not spend without the consent of the Executive arm of government.
They noted that financial autonomy of the House of Assembly would go a long way to alleviating their hardship.
Raising a point of importance during a plenary of Wednesday, the House of Assembly deputy speaker, Mr. Iroju Ogundeji, appealed to Mr. Akeredolu to release fund for members so as to embark on constituency projects which he said they never had the opportunity in the last three years.
Also speaking, the speaker, Mr. Bamidele Oleyelogun urged the governor to attend to their needs in the interest of the true democratic values.
Mr. Oloyelogun said the little contributions of the lawmakers to their constituents were from personal efforts and through loans.
