The coordinator of the 'bring back our light' movement, aimed at restoring power to the souther senatorial district of ondo state, Pastor Olumide Akinrinlola has said that senator Yele Omogunwa, the senator representing Ondo South senatorial district is not sincere with his claim of
not been informed or invited to any of the meetings of the group.

Akinrinlola narrated some efforts of the group in calling the senator, while opining that he is only playing politics with the Agony of the people.

Senator Yele Omogunwa Is Playing Politics With The Agony of Our People In Ondo South
Our attention has been drawn to a news report in an online Newspaper, nigeriancablenews, where it was reported that Senator Yele Omogunwa allegedly said that he was not informed about Bring Back Our Light, a group championing the course to restore electricity back to four affected councils in Ondo south. He was also alleged to have said that the group has never invited him to participate in the struggle to restore electricity back to his own constituency after 3 years of power outage in about 4 local governments under his senatorial district.
BBOL wishes to inform the public that Senator Yele Omogunwa is playing politics with the agony and suffering of our People by not saying the truth about power restoration to affected communities. It is very sad that a supposed man of God, an elderly person which we hold in high esteem being a pastor and a church founder is also telling lies to justify his responsibility failure as a Senator representing Ondo south.
Senator Yele was not only informed about the struggle, he was also aware that four local governments in Ondo south were in darkness for the past 3 years now.
Since we cannot access him face to face because his doors both in Abuja and Akure were not opened to us upon several attempts, we decided to put up several phone calls to him, he didn't answer our several phone calls and till date, we do not know where his constituency office is located in Ondo south. So we resulted to plan B by sending him several test messages on phone but without one singular response and he refused without any excuse to attend our last town hall meeting held in Okitipupa town hall upon his invitation. Does it mean he does not also read text messages if he claimed not to see our invitation letter ? We sent him several messages on WhatsApp too , but he will only read our chat without responding.
An active member of BBOL in Abuja, Engr Folake Omogoroye also made some personal moves on power restoration in some relevant offices and she wrote Senator Yele personally and submitted a letter to the senator's office at the red chamber of the national assembly, but our leader did not respond till date and the woman was not attended to by our senator .
Of recent, Senator Yele spoke with prince S. T Aderehinwo and hon.Solomon Bitire who are both star leaders of BBOL and the duo comprehensively briefed him about the status update on electricity struggle and they both explained to senator Yele separately on what he could do to help his people. Not quite long, we also sent one Omojola Oluwarotimi, a member of BBOL and a close loyalist to the senator to meet with him and register not only our displeasure but also that of the entire people of Ondo south who are in darkness for years now since he wasn't willing to grant audience to any of his constituents that he represent as a senator .
A man who was added to the BBOL group chat from inception like any other prominent personality ; he will only come online to read our messages every time we are having meaningful discussion without making any contribution. What other information or special invitation does he want? Who is inviting who ? Are we to also tell him there is no light in Irele, his home town ?
Why can't he tell us his personal efforts on the struggle to restore electricity instead of playing politics with the agony of his people only to deceive the gullible ?
