….tasks security agencies to track down killers
The killing of a seasoned journalist, Mr. Olubunmi Afuye, today by gunmen was shocking, and smacked of callousness. Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), laments the demented, and heartbreaking operation.
Bunmi's clear and penetrating voice was always captivating and attention catching. He was arguably one of the best around. He was amiable, but courageous, even till the untimely end.
Without contention, the APC-led government places unequalled premium on security of lives and property. This singular event will further ginger the government to entrench its security tentacles even deeper.
The party urges security agencies to swing into action, and track down the mindless killers of Olubunmi and others that were terminated at the scene, so they could face the wrath of the law.
Ondo APC commiserates with the Nigerian Union of Journalists, particularly the State branch, the immediate families of the deceased, and pray God to grant the departed eternal rest.
