Ondo NURTW inaugurates executives July 20; ‘Idajo’ preaches unity

The new Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ondo State council, Mr. Jacob Adebo popularly known as Idajo, has called for unity among various transport unions in the state.

He made the call yesterday at his residence in Akure, the Ondo state capital, while receiving the Special Projects team of The Hope.

Adebo urged all members to support and cooperate with the new state executives of the union which would be inaugurated soon.

The NURTW boss also used the occasion to appreciate the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, and the national body of the NURTW for their roles and support which culminated into his emergence as the new Chairman of the state NURTW.

The Chairman solicited the support of the people of the state to ensure the success of his tenure, just as he charged members of the public to always report any untoward activities or illegality noticed among members of the union to the state office, saying that his administration would not tolerate any act of indiscipline among members.

Earlier, the leader of the team and Manager, Special Projects, Mrs. Bola Daramola, on behalf of Owena Press congratulated Adebo on his appointment as the substantive Chairman of the NURTW, Ondo State Council.
