As part of the efforts to tackle criminal activities in the state and respond promptly to emergencies, the Ondo State Government, in collaboration with the 32 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery, Owena Cantonment, Akure, is making two special and emergency telephone numbers available to members of the public.
The two numbers, which are procured from MTN, are: 09030002151 and 09030002161.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Segun Ajiboye, the move is to increase situational awareness and most importantly reduce response time to distress or emergency calls.
This is to also inform members of the public that the telephone numbers will be displayed on bill boards at strategic areas in the state like population centres and roads linking major cities in the state for easy accessibility.
The purpose of this initiative is to ensure timely and appropriate response by security agencies to emergencies.
