Rainstorm has destroyed properties worth millions of naira in Okeagbe Akoko, in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The heavy storm which started around 8 pm on Monday rendered many homeless.
It blew off roofs of houses and other property, including shops, schools, churches and electric poles.
Some of the properties destroyed by the flood included cars, mattresses, cooking utensils among other items.
The rainstorm has thrown the whole community into darkness.
A resident of the community, Alhaji Adamo Adetiba, lamented that the effect of the rainstorm was devastating.
He described the incident as unfortunate, appealing to the state and federal governments to assist in repairing the buildings destroyed by the storm.
