The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ondo Command, Akure South Division witnessed a massive turn out of eminent personalities ranging from top government functionaries, Political appointees, Royal Fathers and Security Agencies who converged at Onyarugbulem Industrial Park on Tuesday 16th March, 2021 for the official Commissioning of the Akure South Divisional Office complex.
While delivering the message of His Excellency, the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN who was represented by the Director of Finance and Administration, Ondo State Security Network Agency; Hon. Lanre Amusa said that the need for all Security Agencies to come together in order to put full stop to all forms of Kidnapping, Banditry, Abduction and likes cannot be undermined.
He advised all Security Agencies to shun all forms of Inter-agency rivalry and Synergize with the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Community leaders, Local hunters and other reputable stakeholders to make Ondo State absolutely free from Criminalities.
The Deputy Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Revd. Aderoboye Samuel who represented Mr. Speaker commended the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ondo Command for her commitment to ameliorating Crime rate in Ondo State. He said the effort of the Akure South Divisional Officer, CSC Folashade Olakanse will forever be a point of reference and posterity will always be grateful for the good job well done.
In his reaction, the Ondo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, ably represented by the Head of Operations, Deputy Commandant Jonathan Olariche said the Commandant General, Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi mni is committed to the overall transformation and development of the Corps at large hence, the Provision of such a beffiting Divisional Office will enhance the efficiency and qualitative Service delivery of the officers and men deployed to Akure South Division and the Command at large.
He further appreciated the General Manager, Ondo State Property Development Cooperation (OSDPC), Sir. N.S Oseni for the unflinching support to make the reconstruction process a reality.
The Akure South Division was officially Commissioned by representative of the Governor of Ondo State along with special dignitaries: the Deputy Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, representative of Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi the Deji of Akure and Oba (Dr.) Omoniyi Olufunmilayo JP. Akapinsa of Ipinsa land, the General Manager, OSDPC, the Divisional Police Officers in Akure Metropolis amongst others.
