Youths in Ijesaland have chased Chinese miners out of mining sites in Ilesha and Iponda areas of Osun State.
The youths said they chased the Chinese away due to the destruction of their land without reclamation by the miners.
They aggrieved youth, said the act negates the Mining Acts of the federal republic of Nigeria.
According to them, the Chinese miners have shunned their social responsibilities to the mining communities.
The youths also accused the miners of not considering them in their recruitment programme .
They noted that they are not against the federal Government for issuing license to the miners, stressing that the Mining Act which stipulates that landowners should be duly compensated must be followed to the letter.
