The new Owa-Ale of Ikare Akoko, His Royal Majesty,  Oba Adeleke Adefemi Adegbite-Adedoyin has been crowned.

This is in line with over 700 yr-old Ikare tradition after Ondo state Government's due approval as required by the laws.

Oba Adeleke Adegbite-Adedoyin took turn to go into seclusion to change into different beaded crowns brought from Ile-Ife by the founder of Ikare, Owa-Ale Agbaode about year 1384.

While addressing his subjects who filled the palace to capacity, the new Owa-Ale, Oba Adeleke Adegbite-Adedoyin promised to defend the interest of Ikare for peaceful coexistence of all residents and rapid development.

Oba Adegbite-Adedoyin who succeeds his departed father, Oba Kolapo Adegbite-Adedoyin who joined his ancestors in September, 2020, commended ongoing dualisation of Ikare township Roads by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu's administration.

The monarch who appreciated traditional rulers under the Ondo state Council of Obas for their support for Owa-Ale dynasty during the demise of Oba Kolapo, noted that the Ikare people would continue to be in the forefront of ensuring development and peaceful coexistence in the state.

The coronation ceremony of the monarch will hold at a later date for social celebration.
