Outrage as Nigerians blast Buhari, Garba Shehu over quit notice issued to herdsmen
Many Nigerians are lampooning President Muhammed Buhari and his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, over the ultimatum issued by Governor Akeredolu to herders to vacate Ondo State Forest Reserves in seven days.
A cross section of Ondo State indigenes and Nigerians described the reaction from the presidency as senseless
They said the reaction from Garba Shehu was insensitive to the mindless killings being carried out by the herders in Ondo.

Garba Shehu did not condemn the killing of Mrs Olakunri(Pa. Fasoranti's daughter), the killing of Kabiyesi Olufon of Ifon and the recent killing of a frontline Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church and a Deputy Registrar of FUTA who is from Oka Akoko in Ondo State, among others, by his Fulani brothers masquerading as Herdsmen but he is quick to condemn Governor Akeredolu of Ondo State for taking a critical decision to protect the good people of Ondo State.
Someone close to Garba Shehu should tell him that Ondo State is a different ball game and the Herdsmen must leave our forest reserves. Ondo State land do not belong to Federal Government but it is vested in the Governor of Ondo State who is holding it in trust for the benefit of the people.
Let Garba Shehu tell his Herdsmen brothers to relocate to Sambisa Forest please. The people of Ondo State are jointly and severally behind their governor on this matter! We cannot become slaves in our own land, enough is enough!

…today we are talking about herdsmen in our forest and tomorrow, we could be talking about herdsmen in our homes. Somewhere in the future, the herdsmen could be talking about us in their forest and land.
There is an existential threat against our peace with our forests heavily populated by a people classified as one of the deadliest terrorist group in the world.

- Several women kidnapped and raped in the presence of their children and husband, it is a non issue.
- Several prominent sons and daughters of Yoruba land killed and some have to pay heavy ransom, Babu surutu.
- Thousands of hectares destroyed by herdsmen, no problem, cattle must eat.
- Farmers can no longer go to their farms because of herdsmen.

Where are we going. Forest reserves are reserved places as the name implies. No one goes there without government consent. This we must know.

I understand sections of the constitution they may wish to rely on. Yet, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN in the face of this tempest, threat and open insecurity acted bona fide. The herdsmen are first suspect, they should quit. Some one must be the Moses, Aketi is leading the unthinkable to sustain security.

Kidnapping by herdsmen has been on the increase in Ondo, the president didn't take step to halt it but he could halt the process to flush them out, citing the constitution.
