'Ondo APC is committed to peaceful governorship election', Chairman

As the October governorship poll draws near in Ondo state, the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has said that it would work with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to conduct a peaceful election in the election in the state.

Chairman of the party, Engr Ade Adetimehin gave the assurance while playing host to a delegate of Ondo State community leaders at the party's Secretariat in Akure

Adetimehin spoke through the Director of Media & Publicity, Mr Steve Otaloro.

The delegates were at the Secretariat to register their interest in peaceful election in Ondo State in the conduct of the election ahead.

Adetimehin told his guests that the government of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has done so much for the state to earn a reelection.

He said peace is the greatest wealth that any community can benefit from its political system, that much is what the government of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has instituted in Ondo State and the person of the governor and the party are not committed to violence as to allow anyone to disrupt the said peace at any time.

He included some of the government's achievements to include the flyover bridge at Ore, construction of over 401km of roads across the state in just three and a half years, Ore Industrial Hub, among others.

According to him, "The future of Ondo state is in the deep sea port that is being pursued by governor Akeredolu. The governor has emphatically assured that there is no going back on the march towards having a deep sea port in the state."

He added that Akeredolu's government also ecently distributed science equipment worth several millions of naira to schools, promisingl that the APC government will continually, usher in great economic prosperity in Ondo state.
