Rotimi Olorunfemi emerges chairman NBA Akure branch

Mr Rotimi Olorunfemi has emerged as the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association, NBA Akure Branch.

Mr Olorunfemi beat three other contestants with 206 votes at an election held in the High Court 2, Akure.

His closest opponent, Mr Olusola Odusola polled 21 votes, followed by Mr Charles Titiliye who polled 10 votes and Mr Ilesanmi Adeyanju with 6 votes.

Mr Olawole Otetubi emerged Vice Chairman unopposed with 235 votes while the post of Secretaryship was keenly contested with Ademola Ikuejuni emerged with 117 votes after beating Olusegun Akeredolu with 82 votes and Olumuyiwa Familusi 41 votes.

Other positions unopposed include Assistant Secretary, Orlu-Orlu Mille, Treasurer, Happiness Dimehin, Aderonke Adamson as Financial Secretary and Kayode Adeola as Welfare Secretary.

Others include Joshua Sebiotimo as Social Secretary, Olumide Ogidan as Legal Adviser, Yetunde Bright emerged as Provost and Bosun Otitoju as Publicity Secretary.

Speaking with Journalists, Chairman Electors Committee, Alhaji Taofeek Abdulsalam said the election was conducted in line with the Association's law and in transparent process.

Reacting in the outcome of the election, the newly elected Chairman, Mr Rotimi Olorunfemi promised to run an all inclusive administration and would engage all other contestants that lost out in the election.
