The Accord Party has pledged its commitment to the re-election bid of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of ondo state
The Accord Party represented by its National Secretary, Dr Adebukola Abiola-Ajaja while on a Solidarity Visit to Governor Akeredolu in Akure said the party was embarrassed to hear that some persons have collapsed its structure in the state to enhance the standing of the PDP candidate in the forthcoming governorship election.
She described the purported statement as unguarded utterance from elements not known by the party hence the visit of the party's National Leadership to put the records straight
She added that the party had reasons to support Governor Akeredolu whose attitude to good governance had always impressed the Accord Party.
Also speaking, the National Vice-chairman, Southwest of Accord Party, Alhaji Dokun Babarinde said there was no way the party could have supported any other person except Arakunrin Akeredolu whose chance of getting reelected was brighter than other governorship candidates
Responding, Governor Akeredolu appreciated the Accord Party and promised that he would not betray the confidence reposed in him by the party and other political parties.
