It was an atmosphere of joy and merriment on Wednesday, 19th July, 2020 when the people of Ijagba and IMORU, in Ose local government, trooped out to welcome the entourage of Hon. Fatai Lawal, the Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of the state on Natural Resources to the two ancient towns, ahead of the October 10, Governorship election in Ondo State.
Members of the All Progressive Party (APC) in the two towns were on ground to welcome Hon. Lawal and his entourage to the towns.
The members of APC in Ijagba and Imoru were full of praises for Hon. Fatai Lawal who was in the towns on behalf of the Governor and also appreciated the wonderful job being done by Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu.
They declared their total supports for the re- election bid of the Governor and his continuity agenda for him to finish his good job.
Responding, Hon. Fatai Lawal who could not hide his joy, thanked APC members of Ijagba and imoru for coming out en mass to welcome him.
He said the solidarity, support and encomium he received from the people showed that both Ijagba and Imoru are for Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in the forthcoming Governorship election of October 10, 2020.
He informed members of the party on the need to work with all stakeholders in the towns to ensure total delivering of the votes in the areas for Governor Akeredolu. He said all hands must be on deck to achieve the tasks.
In the well attended meeting, over 1000 members of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) who recently left their party for the APC were formally welcomed to the Party by Hon. Fatai Lawal. He used the occasion to open the APC secretariat donated for the use of the party by the new members.
He thanked the new members of APC in Ijagba for putting there resources together to get a befitting secretariat for the party and promised to support them.
