Re: Deputy Governor, Ajayi's Thugs Attack Bus Conveying Election Materials
The attention of the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi has been drawn to a fake news report circulating on the social media platforms that maliciously suggests that persons loyal to His Excellency, Agboola Ajayi were involved in the attack on a bus conveying election materials for Apoi wards, in Ese-Odo local government area of the state.
The unfounded report added that the Deputy Governor was supporting the candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for the councillorship seat of Apoi Wards 1 and 2 in Ese-Odo local government areas of the state.
It is important to put the records straight that both the Deputy Governor and his party, the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) are not participating in the local government election hence any report linking the Deputy Governor or any of his teeming supporters across the state is malicious and deliberately aimed at tarnishing the shining image of the Deputy Governor.
It is evidently clear to all and sundry that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has put up a charade in the name of election and looking for an excuse to escape the people's wrath for his poor outing. The Deputy Governor is ostensibly too busy at this critical time consulting with his supporters ahead of the October 10 Governorship election and therefore has no time for this "Babasala's Election".
We urge the public to disregard the report in its entirety and braze up for the ultimate election that will send this clowns in government out.
