Ever since the declaration by the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Odunayo of his Covid-19 status, members of the public have been calling on those that have had contact with him in the last fourteen days to make their status public.

Recalling that the governor in a video broadcast disclosed that he was Covid-19 positive and he consequently directed all suspected COVID-19 positive patients to go into self-isolation and get tested.
The news making the round as regards the Covid-19 status of the wife of the governor published by Nigerian Tribune and Punch Newspaper, Mrs. Betty had declared she would sue the two national newspapers for infringing on her fundamental human right saying she's not obligated to disclose her Covid-19 status to the public.
In a release on her Facebook page titled KORO UPDATE AND MATTERS ARISING: According to her, she said "Tribune and Punch reporting of my COVID-19 status is a classic case of irresponsible journalism."
"To the best of my knowledge, health matters are private and confidential yet they went on a fishing expedition for reasons best known to them. These are front line media houses, yet they went JUNK! Is this overdrive tainted with politics?"
"Mr. Governor publicly disclosed his status, I didn't and I am not in anyway obligated to go public. I am consulting my lawyers to seek redress against this reckless and unbridled sensational journalism."
