The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi on Monday dragged the House of Assembly to court over plans to impeach him by the State's lawmakers.
Western Post gathered that tension is building up over plans by the State House of Assembly to commenced impeachment process against the State's deputy governor for leaving All Progressive Congress (APC) to Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP).



The Deputy Governor through his lawyer filed a suit seeking to halt the impeachment proceeding and enforced his fundamental right.
Aside from the House of Assembly, the suit filed by his lawyer has the Inspector General of Police, State Commissioner of Police, Department of State Services (DSS) and the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. David Oleyeloogun as respondents.
The suit filed by Mr. I. Olatoke SAN seeks to enforce the fundamental right of the Deputy Governor to retain his position in the State after joining the opposition party.
