The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has become the first political party to hold primaries to pick its candidate for the October 10, 2020 governorship election in ondo state.
During a convention held in Akure, a social struggle leader, Comrade Darius Benjamin Olarotimi emerged the governorship candidate after beating his sole challenger, Pastor Olusegun Esho.
Olarotimi scored 65votes out of 90votes to defeat Esho who polled 20votes and five invalid votes.
The exercise monitored by INEC officials was organized by Convention committee headed by Mr Eni Akinsola.
The convention was attended by a former Governor of Ondo state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko and the State Chairman of ZLP, Hon Joseph Akinlaja.
