Following the disclosure of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, about his COVID-19 test result, the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) today, said special prayers will be organized for the Governor and other patients battling with the pandemic.
Earlier, The Governor in his verified twitter handle , said he got conformation of a positive result for COVID- 19 Tuesday morning.
His tweets: "Earlier today, I got confirmation of a positive result for Covid-19.
" I am asymptomatic and not displaying any symptoms. I am currently self-isolating and supervised home management will be administered by the wonderful team at our Infectious Disease Hospital. I ask that we all stay safe and be well."
The CAN Chairman in the state, Rev. Dr. Ayo Oladapo, in brief statement said, "As children of God and people of faith, in line with the Scripture, it has become expedient for us to lift him up in prayer"
The statement reads in part, "Fellow Christian brothers and Sisters, peace of God unto you all. Today 30th June, 2020, our Governor in a video sent on his Twitter handle told us that he has tested positive for COVID-19"
"I therefore request that special prayers be organised for him and all those who are battling with the pandemic in the State and across the globe"
"We wish our Governor a quick recovery in Jesus Christ Mighty name. Amen.
Please, let us keep on praying for our Governor"
