In a bid to cushion the effects of the ravaging Covid 19 on small scale businesses in Akoko South, the federal government has supported hundreds of constituents with loan facilitated by Hon Ade Adeogun, the honourable member representing the good people of Akoko South East and West federal constituency at the National Assembly.
The loan which is between N100 to N500 thousand naira and paid into the beneficiaries' personal accounts in batches is meant to boost economic activities in the federal constituency.
In a statement made public by Mr. Abire Sunday Olugbenga, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Hon. Ade Adeogun, he affirmed that the economic stimulus package is one of the dividends of democracy and a direct contribution of the APC led federal government to revamping the economy of the constituency
While urging those who do not have Bank Verification Number (BVN) to do so in order to be able to enjoy future benefits, Mr. Abire appealed to beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money by injecting it into business related activities in order to ensure that the constituency returns quickly to the path of unhindered economic growth.
Mr. Abire who further stressed that the burden of repaying the loan is on the federal lawmaker, also used the opportunity to restate the commitment of Hon. Adeogun towards eradicating hunger and economic despondence in the constituency.
