Former speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Abdulsalam Olawale Taofeek has defected to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from the ruling All Progressives Congress
Taofeek, a former commissioner for works under Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to pick the membership card of the PDP at Akoko North East Local Government Council Area of Ondo State.
A trained lawyer, Taofeek was received into the PDP by Hon Rasheed Elegbeleye, the minority leader of Ondo State House of assembly and Hon Kareem.
The PDP chairman in Akoko North East Local government was also on hand to welcome the former speaker back to PDP
He was a member of the PDP before he decamped to APC in 2016.
Taofeek thanked the leaders and members of the PDP for accepting him into the Party.
He vowed to bring more aggrieved members of the ruling party into PDP in the days ahead.
