A Nation is seen blessed and being envied by other nations across the globe when the style of governance of such nation is targeted at human capital development and it is people oriented.
Leadership without bias, political affiliation and sentiments; and whose policies and plans are channeled towards improving the livelihood of the people is seen as the criteria for measuring good leadership quality all over the world.
The Ondo state Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN in Southwest Nigeria has been implementing several human capital development goals through his office for the development of the ondo state in various sectors for the betterment of the people.
Governor Akeredolu who is known for keeping his promises and decisive in decision making notwithstanding the tribe, religion, social status and political affiliation is also a follower of the people he leads." Most leaders only have followers especially when they take over the mantle of authority. They become distant to the people they are leading.
However Akeredolu understands that to be a good leader, you should also know knows how to be a good follower. This character of a good follower allows Governor Akeredolu to properly dot the I"s and cross the T"s both in project monitoring, implementation of policies and understanding the needs of the people.
Aketi who has constantly placed the welfare of the people of Ondo state first gave a young student of Greater Tomorrow Secondary School, Okitipupa Master Adefeniku imole an SSS 2 student a scholarship for outstandingly drawing the his picture.
This gesture by Governor Akeredolu was aimed at encouraging Imole's dreams through the scholarship.
since Governor Akeredolu came into office, he has constantly encouraged and motivated his staffs and the Ondo state people.
You can recall that this amiable leader paid all outstanding salaries owed by previous administration till date, he also ensured steady promotion of deserving workers, ensured improved welfare workers through various loan packages.
Lesson to take home from this gesture.
When you lead without bias the people will have burning passion for your leadership quality.
