Some members of the Ondo State House of Assembly today exchanged blows over issues relating to the impeachment of the former deputy speaker, Iroju Ogundeji.
The lawmakers engaged in heated session as they were about to proceed for parliamentary session, which was to preced plenary today.
This is as a result of moves to reverse the earlier impeachment of Iroju following pressure from the state government and leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.
After a hot argument, allegedly Hon. Oluyede Feyide punched the impeached deputy speaker, Rt. Hon. Ogundeji Iroju.
Meanwhile security has tightened in and around the assembly complex.
SUNSHINE HERALD had reported that both the governor and leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have keep pressurising the assembly members to rescind their decision.
