Ex-commissioner dumps PDP for APC in Odigbo

No fewer than 4000 followers of People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State including a former commissioner, Mrs. Margaret Akinsuroju decamped to the rulling All Progressive Party (APC).

The event which took place at APC Secretariat ORE, witnessed a large turn out of party faithful and supporters .

Mrs. Margaret Akinsuroju was the immediate past commissioner for Adult, Vocational and Technical Education in the last government.

Akinsuroju attributed that her decision to join the APC was based on the developmental strides currently embark upon by the Arakunrin Akeredolu led administration within the short time of his administration , and the need for them to contribute their own quotas .

Akinsuroju also added that the lingering crisis within the PDP was another major reason for their defections into the ruling party .

She however assured of her group readiness to abide with the APC 's rules and regulations and to make sure PDP no longer exist in Odigbo Local Government.

Receiving the new members , Ondo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Alhaji Ismaila Olarimisi commended Mrs. Margaret Akinsuroju for her decision and courage to be part of history of transforming the state for good.

The commissioner, therefore assured the new members of a level playing ground within the party.

The occasion was well attended with several leaders of the party in attendance which includes the caretaker chairman , Odigbo Local Government, Prince George Adenikinju, member Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Akin Fasogba , Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters , Mr. Tunji Fabiyi among others.
