The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi on Sunday said he never expected he would be the number two citizen of the state.
He said this in Kiribo at the occasion of his 49th birthday celebration with family and friends.
He said he had wanted to dodge the position and even signed withdrawal form, but God had other plans for him.
The celebrant noted that he is grateful to God for sparing his life and giving him a wonderful family.
Ajayi at the event promised not to fail in his bid to help his boss return the state to her glorious past.
Congratulating the celebrant, Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Oil and Gas, Barr. Benson Enikuomehin advised the celebrant to be focused and remain loyal to his boss.
The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Mr. Segun Ajiboye described the celebrant as a loyal and committed deputy governor, who loves to accommodate people.
