The referee disallowed our goal for reasons I don’t know – Eguavoen

Sunshine Stars FC coach, Austin Eguavoen has lamented his club's loss to Lobi Stars on Sunday, stating that he does not know why the referee disallowed his team's stoppage time goal.
Sunshine Stars lost 0-1 at home to Lobi Stars of Makurdi.
He said: "In today's game we failed to take our chances and the referee disallowed our goal for reason I don't know, I wonder why.
"The boys were not bad though for some moments the response was slow and it must be said Lobi defended very well too."

The home side dominated the early stages of the game but failed to find the back of the net. In the 3rd minute of additional time, Ike ThankGod headed home what seemed to be the equaliser, however the goal was not made to count as the centre referee, Nwite Thomas ruled it out for an alleged infringement on Lobi Stars goalkeeper, Odah.
Kingsley Eduwo's 15th minute strike was all that was needed for the visitors to secure victory.
"Results like this are part of football and we are not dwelling on it, looking forward to our next game and for sure we are aiming for better result," Eguavoen noted.
Sunshine Stars now occupy the 17th position in the NPFL log, and are set to host coach Eguavoen's former side, Eyimba FC next Sunday.‎
