The event tagged the Kick Out Malaria Program and sponsored by the Australian High Commission Abuja will include communicating behavioural change education to residents, thorough environmental sanitation exercise, massive distribution of Long Lasting Insecticide Nets, anti-malarial drugs and installation of waste bins.
Mr. Adepeju Salu, the Executive Director of the foundation said the program started in 2010 in Bauchi state and has impacted millions of lives across Nigeria. He also said the program is designed to sync with goal number 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals and Nigeria's National Malaria Control Program and is open to members of the public who want to volunteer. The program will hold on April 22nd, 2017 by 7:00am.
He also said the program is targeted to reach at least 7,000 people and there will be special focus on very dirty areas of Ajegunle because of Mosquito breeding and ultimately malaria. He also stressed that though everyone will get malaria fighting tools, there will be special focus of be on nursing mothers,
