Students in Ondo State preparing to gain admission into tertiary institutions of learning were subjected to unfavourable experience while attempting to register for the forthcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.

This was evident at the JAMB office in Akure, the Ondo state capital when SUNSHINE Herald visited there.  Students were seen under the scorching sun complaining about their inability to register for the examination online.

The Students at the examination board's office expressed their displeasure to what they are being subjected to.

One of the students, Ajayi Olalekan who spoke with our reporter said the process is not favourable to the students and it is also too long. While corroborating Olalekan's claim, another student,  Samuel Ojuekaye noted that the process is stressful as he has been at the jamb office since yesterday (Wednesday).

Bolade Akinkuroye and Oluwatosin Olawusi, both Students preparing to write the JAMB exam also stressed that the process is not palatable and the JAMB portal is not cooperating with them as regards the registration.

Efforts to speak with the Ondo state coordinator of JAMB proved abortive as he was not available as at the time of filing this report.

The UTME examination registration commenced on the 20th of March and will close on the 19th of April, 2017 while the examination proper will run from the 6th to 20th of May, 2017.
