Members of Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria, BRECAN during the weekend surprised their founder, the first Lady of Ondo State, Her Excellency, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu with a grand reception at BRECAN center Ibadan.
BRECAN National Secretary, Mrs.Ogbogu, while speaking with journalists at the event said that: "Mrs.Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has given her time, treasure and talent, in fact, theht against breast cancer in Nigeria and so we owe her a lot of gratitude, that is why all of us whom she has recruited into this army across Nigeria has decided to celebrate her today, coming at a time God has elevated her to the status of the first lady of Ondo state".
According to her, the reception was a way of showing gratitude to someone who has given so much to humanity.
In her reaction, Mrs Akeredolu described the reception as a pleasant surprise. "What happened to me today remains indelible in my life .I was shocked to the marrow with the surprise reception at BRECAN centre Ibadan.
" No clue whatsoever. It was a pleasant coup. Everybody around me kept the secret. Lagos,Ondo and Oyo state chapters were represented. I felt so loved. BRECAN for Ever!"
She further expressed her Joy for the expansion and growth of the Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria.
