Adedipe Kehinde Disappointed To Have Lost Despite Sunshine Stars’s Effort And His Stunner Against Tornadoes

Sunshine Stars midfielder Kehinde Adedipe is disappointed to have ended on the losing side against Niger Tornadoes despite his side's effort and even scoring a stunning solo effort.

Sunshine Stars of Akure fell to a 2-1defeat on Sunday at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, thanks to Lukas Yahaya thunderous strike in the 92nd minutes.

Ojo Olorunleke saved a penalty early on in the game but couldn't stop Gabriel Jeremiah header in the 47th minutes, shortly after they took the lead Tornadoes were awarded another penalty but Ojo Olorunleke saved from the 12 yards again.

Adedipe Kehinde produced magic shortly after Ojo Olorunleke saved the second penalty by walking the ball into Tornadoes box before dispatching his shot beyond Aliko in goal for the Ikon Allah but Sunshine Stars joy was cut short in the dead when Lukas Yahaya who assisted the first goal powered in the ball beyond the outstanding Olorunleke.

"I have scored a similar goal before but not in a league game. This is the best I have scored yet but the goal means nothing.

"I am still very sad and disturbed at the outcome of the match, we played our hearts out. It is very painful after working hard like we did we still lost the game.

"The outcome of the match really affected the team which includes me, so the goal means nothing in the end. We have put the game behind us and we are fully focused on our next game. We have challenged ourselves to get the maximum points when we play Katsina United on Wednesday."‎
