Nigeria acting President, Yemi Osinbajo will on Friday, commission the International Event Centre, also known as The Dome in Akure, the Ondo state capital city.
Speaking to newsmen in Akure, the state's Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade said the commissioning of the prestigious edifice will be performed by the Vice President.
He said necessary arrangements have been made towards the inauguration of the The Dome by the Acting President.
Akinmade said the rare structure has 3 Oval Domes with full architecture, with the hall in each of the Dome capable of sitting 5,000 guests and 3 events simultaneously.
"The Dome also has a complementing event hall and has the capacity to sit 3,000 with syndicate room stores.
"The structure consists of three linked concrete platforms standing on an array of re-inforced concrete columns and beams.
"All three platforms are roofed separately with Valmex Mehatop super able fabric on steel framed domes with dome 1 and 3 being the same size and Dome 2 being of a Sauder size.
"The complex is accessed from the Dome 1 with the Administrative section at the rear end of the structure," he said.
The Domes, he added, are flanked on both sides by conveniences and spaces between the Domes platforms serving as exhibition spaces, VIP lounges, bars, syndicate room stores, and clubs among others.
