Following the deadlock in the negotiation between the Ondo tate government and the organized labour unions over five months unpaid salaries, workers in the state have been directed to continue with the ongoing indefinite strike until their demand is met.

The meeting that lasted for over four hours, was attended by governor Olusegun Mimiko, the deputy governor, Head of service, governor's chief of staff, Special Adviser on unions matters, the state Attorney General, Information Commissioner, local government affairs commissioner and some other top government functionaries.
