The Ondo state government is set to begin payment of workers salaries from this week.
This was the agreement reached between the state government and the labour leaders after a meeting in Akure on Tuesday night.
The government's side was led by the state governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko while the Labour side was led by NLC, NJC and TUC chairmen.
Briefing Journalists after the meeting, the Special Adviser to the governor on Union matters, Mr Dayo Fadahunsi said the December salary for workers in state will be paid beginning from tomorrow while workers in the Local government councils will get their January salary same time.
He said when the state government gets a refund of over deduction from the state allocation and money spent on federal roads, salaries for January and February will be paid before the end of this month.
Also, the state Chairman of joint negotiation committee, Mr Sunday Adeleye said December and january salaries of workers in OSOPADEC will be paid from tomorrow.
While saying labour leaders will continue to fight for the rights of workers, Mr Adeleye enjoined them to continue to go about their normal duties.
