The Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo state government, Mr Eni Akinsola, today on OSRC extensively discussed the extent of developmental speed in Ondo State under Governor Olusegun Mimiko's administration and clamored for more reportage on all these developments that have made a visible change in the affairs of Ondo State both nationally and internationally.
While speaking, Mr. Akinsola spoke on the record breaking innovation whereby the governor himself has called the federal government through the Minister for Mineral Resources, Dr. Kayode Fayemi's attention to the exploitation of Bitumen and net worth exportation to attract investors and the nation across many nations and that it was made possible because the governor had the nation's interest at heart which one can say is above his duties of caring for a state and that singular trait can only be found in a good leader.
Mr Akinsola statistically corrected the notion that indigenes habour in mind since the tearing down of Owena Motel and the erection of the Akure Shopping Mall in its place, stating that the Akure shopping Mall alone has been able to accommodate over 60 employees and that fruits locally produced within the State are being sold in the mall as well, therefore such an effort should be commended.
Further into the discussion, he expressed how the International Cultural and Event Centre (The Dome), Akure has gained international recognition as the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, (COREN) will be hosting an event as scheduled soon and from all indications, that alone will promote urbanization in the State.
Above all that was said, The Chief Press Secretary admonished the media to cover more developmental projects that have kept Ondo State on a high pedestal in the country.
