The Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Adeyanju has assured students studying in the state that they would no longer study in tears, stating that all would be done to sustain the standard of academic excellence in the state.
Dr Adeyanju made this remark during the commissioning of two blocks of ultra modern hostel and cafeteria at the state's School of Nursing, Akure.
The Commissioner stated that despite the current economic challenges in the country, the state government would continue to embark on developmental projects in the school, until it becomes the best in the country.
Dr Adeyanju further stated that the government is determined to ensure that students of the institution no longer study in tears; he restated the commitment of the government in giving priority to the welfare of students in the school and state generally.
The principal of the school, Mrs Mary Edward, acknowledged the support of the state government in providing a 30-seater coaster bus, construction of modern science laboratory, provision of teaching tools and renovation of the existing four hostels, among others.
