The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) has dissociated itself from a planned protest in Akure by some "students impostors" for unstated reasons.
A statement by the SUG President, Odunyemi Adegbola and Senate President, Olakunle Balogun which disowned the protesters also noted that they are not in support of protest by any group whatsoever to disrupt the peace of the state.
The students' leaders advised their fellow students to be law abiding and pursue the path of peace as plans have
been concluded for thier resumption on the 16th of this month.
They also advised their colleagues to ignore all social media postings purportedly credited to the Students' Union or any officer of the University, stressing these are handiwork of mischief-makers and misguided elements.
