The Magistrate, Mrs Olowookere Olusola,however, sentenced the accused person to nine years
imprisonment without an option of fine.
"Having found guilty of have unlawful canal knowledge with the little girl without her consent, accused is hereby sentence to nine months imprisonment without an option of fine.
"You Aderemi do not deserve any mercy even though it is the first time you are appearing in court by raped your friend's daughter and being your daughter's friend, Olowookere said.
Earlier,The Prosecutor, Sgt . Ezekiel Dudee, had told the court that the minor and her parents reported the incident to the police on July 29,2015.
Dudee said the accused person committed the offence on July 27,2015 at about 7 am at No. 33,Onigemo Street, Igbara-Oke in Ifedore local government of the State.
"On the faithful day,the victim came to visit his friend, Aderemi Ayobami, the accused son, who they were supposed to go for common entrance examination together on the same day.
"The victim's friend, Ayobami had earlier left home before she arrived as the accused persons had the opportunity to pounced on her and drag her into the room and raped her," Ezekiel said.
According to the prosecutor, the offence is contrary to and punishable under section 358 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 vol.1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
The accused counsel, Mr.Asani b. D Prayed the court for leniency and mercy.
