The former President of Nigeria, after handing over to his successor, boarded the Nigerian Air Force one plane for the last time to Port Harcourt after which he was conveyed to Bayelsa in a military helicopter.
He recieved a mammoth welcome in Yenagoa, the state capital where he stopped briefly to greet a waiting crowd enroute Otuoke, his native home.
