The Katsina State commissioner of Police,Alhaji Muhammad Hurdi, is dead, the Force has announced.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Aminu Sadiq made the announcement in a statement issued to journalists on Sunday, March 29.
According to the statement, Hurdi died on the eve of Nigeria's 2015 Presidential election, March 27 – after a protracted illness.
The PPRO said that Hurdi would be remembered as a patriotic and dedicated officer who gave his best in the service of his fatherland.
